భారత దేశం కొత్తగా 53వ చీఫ్ జస్టిస్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (CJI)గా జస్టిస్ సూర్యకాంత్ నేడు ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేయనున్నారు. ఢిల్లీలోని రాష్ట్రపతి భవన్లో రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపది ముర్ము ఆయనతో ప్రమాణం చేయనున్నారు.

ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి భూటాన్, కెన్యా, మలేషియా, మారిషస్, శ్రీలంక, నేపాల్ దేశాల చీఫ్ జస్టిస్లు ప్రత్యేక అతిథులుగా హాజరవుతున్నారు. CJI ప్రమాణ స్వీకారానికి విదేశీ అతిథులు రావడం చరిత్రలో ఇదే మొదటిసారి.

New CJI Takes Oath Today – First-Ever Visit of Foreign Chief Justices

Justice Surya Kant will take oath today as the 53rd Chief Justice of India (CJI). The ceremony will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath.

For the first time in India’s judicial history, Chief Justices from Bhutan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Nepal are attending the CJI swearing-in ceremony as special international guests.

Justice Surya Kant will also become the first person from the state of Haryana to assume the office of the Chief Justice of India.
